Misano makes us happy! Double win for Hirsiger and podium for Skrimpias and Gostner

15 April 2025

Wet track, lucky track. Misano is a circuit that feels like home, and for that very reason, it never fails to deliver great emotions—even in the rain. On a gloomy weekend, the Misano World Circuit turned red for the second round of the Ferrari Challenge, celebrating the triumph of the Ineco Reparto Corse RAM team drivers.

“I’m very happy and proud to leave Misano with two victories. A special thanks to the whole team and a shout-out to everyone supporting me from home,” commented Felix Hirsiger after securing his second podium of the weekend.

Alongside him, Manuela Gostner and Zois Skrimpias dominated the Coppa Shell standings, claiming their first podium of the season. Greek driver Skrimpias remarked: “Fantastic—Misano is one of my favorite tracks. It was a great race, full of exciting battles. I’m really happy with this result.”

Race 1:

The first race of the Pirelli Trophy, held in the evening, went to Felix Hirsiger, who earned his first victory of the season. After contact in the early stages, the Swiss driver took the lead and never looked back, also setting the fastest lap in 1’33”912, securing the first podium for Team Ineco Reparto Corse RAM.

In contrast, the Coppa Shell race was less fortunate: Zois Skrimpias, pole-sitter and early leader, was forced to retire early after a collision during the opening laps.

Race 2:

The second day began with light rain. On the damp track, Felix Hirsiger got off to a determined start, quickly taking the lead and delivering another flawless performance. After a Safety Car phase, he maintained control and crossed the finish line first, once again setting the fastest lap in 1’34”164 and completing his personal double win.

In the Coppa Shell, Zois Skrimpias made a brilliant comeback: after a strong start, he defended the lead with determination, capitalizing on a mistake from the pole-sitter (who spun out) to widen the gap. Fastest lap in 1’35”962 and his first win of the season as well.

Capping off the team’s success, Manuela Gostner delivered a stunning comeback to take third place—her first podium of the season.

Three podiums, two victories, and a fantastic team performance. The Ineco Reparto Corse RAM team proved that even in the rain, determination, strategy, and talent make all the difference. And once again, Misano confirms itself as a land of emotion.

For the third round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe, the 296 Challenge cars will return to the track from May 23 to 25 at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany.
